I was so sorry that I could not go to downtown field trip with classmates this Thursday, because my wife and I had a appointment in a place where is far away my home, It took us the whole morning .
Some classmates told me the field trip was funny. They visited the Enterprise Toronto Office in the City Hall first. If you have some problems in your business you can ask the enterprise to help. Then the classmates watched the painting art. The art is beautiful. Last they were lucky,it was Toronto's taste Thursday,the classmates had chance to taste good food after visiting the enterprise in the Nathan Phillips Square. I was mouth water when I heard that they had delicate food.

Camping, Energy and Restaurant

We had many activities in LINC school this week. The activities included a camping introduction, energy conservation lesson and going to restaurant for lunch.
Camping is Canadian favorite activity in summer. On Tuesday morning, two beautiful young girl introduced how to camping in Canada at the level 3 classroom. From this introduction I studied many things about camping, such as the campground and what you need to go to camping. The famous campgrounds include Charleston Lake Provincial Park, Algonquin Provincial Park. The things you need to go camping include tent, sleep bag, mat, cook tools, lights and food, etc. I have not gone camping in Canada, I hope I can go camping soon.
A special energy conservation lesson was on Wednesday morning, this lesson is useful for us. From this lesson I got some tips how to save energy in my home. The electricity fee is depend on the time in Canada. There are three period fees in a day in summer(May 1 - October 1). The first period is from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.,this period fee is the cheapest, about 8 cents. The second periods are from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., this periods fee is about 10 cents. The last period is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this period fee is most expensive, about 12 cents. If you know this tip, you will know how to save your money.
we went to a restaurant for lunch on Friday, the restaurant is Swiss Chalet. The food tasted well and was expensive. The experience of lunch was not well because they charged our drink.

See the rainbow in Toronto

Tonight I saw a double beautiful rainbow in the sky. This was the most beautiful rainbow that I had ever seen.

Sunset is later in Toronto summer. My son Leo looked outside, it was close sunset and a light rain with sunshine, he guessed it might be rainbow in the sky. As he guessed the rainbow appeared soon in the sky. I was so excited and went out with a camera. I took many rainbow photos. You can see the whole rainbow, it looked like a huge color bridge form one side to other side in the sky. It was a double rainbow, the lower one was very clear and red top, the higher one was not clear and red bottom. The rainbow could be seen was not long, it was just about twenty minutes. 

Today my mother in law was very glad that she could see such beautiful rainbow in her birthday.

Fishing in Lake Scugog

Fishing is a Canadian favorite activity. There are a lots of lakes and rivers in Ontario. So many people go to fish on weekend.

Yesterday is Saturday, the weather was very beautiful and a good time for fishing. This day you could catch fish without a license. My friends' families and my family went to Lake Scugog to fish. Lake Scugog is located east north of Toronto. It took about one hour to go to there by car. It was my first time fishing in Canada. 

we arrived the Palmer Park beside the Lake Scugog at 10:30 a.m., the Park is close Port Perry. We wanted to rent a ship to fish, but we were unlucky because the bigger ships that load 10 people all had been rented. So we had to rent a small ship to go fishing in the lake. My son Leo caught the first fish, my father in law caught two fishes, my friend Cai caught a big fish. I learned how to cast hook. Now I can cast hook very far. We had a good dinner because the fire fishes tasted very well.
I learned two important things form this fishing. One is waiting, you need quietly and patiently to wait for fishes. Another is catching chance, the moment fishes are biting your hook is the chance.

Field Trip Downtown to City Council and Caribana Launch

Yesterday our teacher Joseph, some new classmates and I went to downtown by subway.
I saw the Old City Hall when I went out from Queen subway station. The Old City Hall is a beautiful building. It likes a medieval castle and it is kept very well. We didn't went into the older city hall, we just looked it outside. If you want to visit this building you need to pay $5.
The new City Hall is close to the Old City Hall. The Nathan Phillips Square is in the front of City Hall. The City Hall is very special building. Its center part likes a mushroom, the top of mushroom is the most important place, it is the parliament hall. We went into the hall to watch the Parliament Members to discuss and vote in this morning. In the front of City Hall I saw some people were protesting the TTC ticket price is too high, they asked TTC to reduce the price by 13%. These let me know what is an open society, it is very different from my country.
The Toronto Caribbean Carnival began at this afternoon. The first shower was Wonderful. The girl wore beautiful cloths and dance. I cannot express my feeling when I watched the shower. It was very special and hot. I liked the Carnival.

7 - 1 Germany and Brazil

Today the hot topic is Germany and Brazil in the World Cup. one half is fire and another half is ice. I could not believe the result of the game was 1-7, but it was true. I think today is the worst day of Brazil. Such defeat in their home, I don't know the coach and players how to face their fans.

One bird nest in my home

It was sunny and breeze last Sunday. In the morning I did exercise and I walked around my house. Suddenly I found a bird nest in my home wall, one robin was hatching its eggs in the nest. I took some nest pictures quickly and told my family about the nest. They were all interested and went out to see the nest. We talked about the bird nest in the breakfast. My father in law said who were lucky if they had a bird nest in their home. When I think of a new life coming soon, I felt very happy.
